This small Parisian-style “caviar café” will be the first retail outlet for an internet based business that sells gourmet smoked fish and caviar from California Sturgeon. The design accommodates product sales as well as prepared foods. Retail products include a wide variety of premium domestic and imported caviars along with smoked sturgeon and salmon from the Tsar Nicoulai smokehouse.
The focus of the shop is a dark wood and stainless steel caviar bar that was inspired by traditional Russian architecture. Patrons can sit at the 15 seat bar and enjoy caviar tasting as well as gourmet items from the changing menu, which are prepared within the 300 foot space. The bar has been designed so it can be retracted into the small shop space when the store is closed, and wheeled out into the Marketplace hall when open to allow for a more open atmosphere.
